Y Combinator says: Automate Workflows with LLMs

Hope your week is going well. I'm finally getting out of this sore throat, runny nose thing that I had over the weekend, so I'm feeling more and more energized.

Over the weekend, two Instagram posts came to me, published by the official Y Combinator account. (1) (2)

Both posts were saying that automating the mundane, back office tasks is actually a huge business opportunity, and I totally agree.

I think, in the AI gold rush we're living in right now, there will only be a few companies that win big by developing new AI models and building software, because it's very competitive, and the barrier to entry is very high.

On the other hand, most companies who win big from these will be AI Automation Agencies.

Why?

Because there are so many mundane, repetitive, dumb tasks that EVERYBODY hates to do, but must be done to keep systems operational. And LLMs are perfect for this. And an AI Automation Agency or Agent can automate these tasks.

When I was in medical school, one of my biggest disappointments was that doctors spent roughly 40% of their time just writing documentations and doing filing, nurses did even more (est. 60-70%).

In Hungary, there is a huge need for doctors and nurses, most healthcare workers are overworked, exhausted, burnt out, and tired.

I guess the situation is roughly the same throughout the world.

Medical reports, billing, insurance documents, data collection, filings, analyses, etc.

Just in one industry there are so many things that LLMs could do for people.

There are just so many companies and government organizations in the world that would benefit from bringing LLMs into these mundane, repetitive tasks that no one likes to do.

Marketing Agencies, Law Firms, Hospitals (govt or private), Schools, Financial Services, Real Estate, and even Small Businesses can greatly enhance their operational efficiency by integrating AI, specifically LLMs, into their workflows.

You might be objecting to this:

"But Dave, so many jobs will be lost! Massive unemployment coming!"

And you're right. Yeah, jobs will be lost. Jobs that no one really liked to do anyways.

Our economies will be restructured so humans can do more jobs that actually help people and make the world a better place.

Doctors and Nurses can spend most of their time with their patients and on conferences to provide the best treatments.

Research will be faster, because more experiments can be done in the same timeframe, so we will find the cure for all cancers faster, find new room temperature superconductor materials, etc.

Teachers can devote more time to being in the classroom and to learning new things and keeping themselves up to date.

Assistants can automate processes instead of doing the processes, resulting in more efficient workflows.

Basically, anyone can automate processes now. If you can make a 5 minute Loom video of how you do what you do (meaning, if you can teach someone else), then you can use AI to create a documentation of the process, and start automating it within Make or Zapier.

And you'll be surprised how many automations don't even need AI into them, and a simple no-code flow is enough.

Here's my tip on how you can learn this: Start automating the tasks you do, one per day.

One automated task a day keeps bankruptcy away.

Open up Zapier and automate a simple task. Then the next day, automate another one. If you get stuck, ask for help from ChatGPT, mentors, or community members.

You will learn the skills of the future while making your day-to-day better.

I have a course bundle that can help with this, you can find it here.

Basically, first you must learn Prompt Engineering, so you can write ChatGPT prompts that get work done.

Then you can learn how to create and publish Custom GPTs, and when you are good with that, you can start building AI workflows with Make.com or Zapier.

We're running a pre-order campaign before we launch the 2024 update, so you can get this course bundle for a fraction of the original price, get lifetime access to our community, and be the first to see the 2024 updated version.

It's a course bundle that changed many people's lives (you can read their testimonials on this page), and I'm sure it will change yours too!

AI Automation is the next gold rush.
